Seasoned Chicken Fingers

A simple and delicious way to do chicken fingers in a new way. The original blog claimed that this is KFC's secret recipe. While it did remind me just a bit of their seasoning, I'm not going that far. Still enjoyable, even if we didn't crack the code.

This is the type of chicken tenders we used, just in case that isn't clear from the description.

Seasoned Chicken Fingers

1 bag boneless, skinless chicken tenders, thawed
1/2 tsp. salt
1 Tbsp. Season All
3/4 tsp. pepper
1 cup flour
2 tsp. paprika
1 stick of butter

Place thawed chicken strips in a bowl of milk. Let soak for 20-30 min.

Mix seasonings in a large bowl.

Preheat oven to 400 degrees.

Cut butter into a few pieces and place in two 9x13 pans. Melt butter in pre-heated oven.

Spread melted butter around the bottom of the pan. Lightly spray the pan, if needed, to make sure that there are no dry spots.

Shake excess milk off of chicken and completely coat each piece with the seasoning mix.

Place each piece of chicken in the pan.

Bake for 20 min.

Turn each piece of chicken and continue baking for 20 more minutes, or until cooked through.

Makes 6 servings, 3 pieces each.

  1. I could totally make these...would just have to substitute corn meal for the flour and use oil instead of butter...hmmm...I'll let you know if they taste at all good that way.
